I am Aristéu, I import
non-perishable food from Sardinia to Switzerland
I offer farmers a fair revenue for their products, and cut logistics costs, so that most of your money actually goes to the farmers.
Once a year, you place and pay your order, and receive up to four food baskets per year at a local collection depot associated to a housing or a vegetable cooperative, or a large WG.
Aristeos was the ancient hero reputed to have brought agriculture to Sardinia: there are no heroes here, but together we can help support small scale Sardinian farmers!
Behind Aristéu is Peppe Congiu, Sardinian who studied and worked in Switzerland. He personally sources the products from the farmers and transports them in Switzerland by ship and van.
Find out more about Aristéu, or contact Peppe Congiu for more information and to find out how to participate in the project, whether as a farmer or a client!
Products

Most products have a shelf life of at least one year, and many over two.
All are of plant origin and naturally without gluten (except the bread!).
For each product you will find a page describing its ties to Sardinian culture.
Collection depots
Aristéu delivers food to depots linked to purchasing groups, Gemüse- and Wohngenossenschaften, or large WGs.
You can contact Aristéu to know where to get your goods, or to add a depot to the list. Make sure to have access to an active depot before placing your order!

Shop – place an order
You can explore the shop at any time, to check offer and prices. During an order cycle, you can compose your basket or pick among three suggestions. After purchase, if a product cannot be delivered, that part of your order will be refunded.
Meet the farmers

Support small scale sardinian farmers!
The producers you will be supporting are small scale farmers, who grow organically local or locally adapted varieties of crops.
You can find out more about the farmers that work with Aristéu and their stories here on the website.
